RAZER MX :: The Panaracer MX is a tire designed for marathon riding, whatever that is. You say marathon, I picture Kenyans running around. Regardless, its a fun little tire. The Razer MX is a high volume, low weight (2.30, 530g claimed) tire made to shred hardpack. The low knobs mean fast rolling, and the decent corner knobs mean you should be able to hold a line a little better then say a Kenda Small Block 8. The Razer MX has a couple of Panaracer technologies in it including thier own ZSG compound (longer wear) and their ASB sidewall technology to protect against pinchflats. - CG 2.10 XC
-
- The CG 2.10 XC is clearly designed for XC, but I think Panaracer is a bit optimistic on thier website when they say its for XC racing. At an actual 624g (muchless than the 670g the site says) the 2.1 XC is a bit heavy for racing. That said, it should be a wicked tire for trail, 4x, and general ripping around. The XC uses a neat Panaracer technology called Combo Compound, which is basically a knob with a soft rubber center with a harder rubber over top. In theory, you should get excellent deformation for traction, with longer life. Does it work? I have no idea, but we`ll find out.

- The CG 2.35 4X AM
-
- The CG 2.35 4X AM is, you guessed it, a bigger and more aggressive tire in the CG lineup compared to the 2.1 xc. Ours weight in at 763g, again coming in under the claimed weight on the website of 810g. This is clearly a beefy tire, and not exactly something you`re going to want for your 22 lb xc bike. With big shoulder knobs and a solid block of knobs right down the center, this tire should be quite a bit of fun in loose and dirty trails. These also use the Combo Compound mentioned above.

- RAMPAGE SC
-
- The SC in Rampage SC stands for sticky compound, in case you were curious. A 2.35, 660g tire the Rampage SC has a bunch of lowish middle knobs and some seriously healthy side knobs, all at a relatively low weight. If Panaracers SC rubber is anything like most of their competitors, this tire should stick to anything short of ice or a vertical wall. The quesion is how long will it last? Sign this sucker up for loose-ish conditions, wet slippery stuff and anywhere grip is key over durability.
