News :: Dropmachine.com - e13 introduces the LS1+

e*thirteen continues its tireless effort to perfect chain retention systems and in the process has pushed the limits of materials technology and engineering design even further with the new LS1+. Long ago we realized the importance of making advanced technologies more accessible to budget conscious riders and racers. In a recent effort to keep the economic barrier from allowing riders to enjoy the sports of downhill riding and racing we had introduced the SS+ steel backplate chain retention system. The overwhelmingly positive reception of the SS+ has paved the way for our next installment, the LS1+.

e*thirteen’s new LS1+ guide is the second generation of the already popular LS1. Following in the footprints of its older sibling, the LS1+ leverages the strength and reliability that helped the LG1+ become the most highly sought after race day chain retention system in the world.

This groundbreaking design was shaped by hundreds of hours of engineering and analysis. Once again, e*thirteen has pushed the limits of new technologies, and through advancing stamped steel manufacturing, has produced the most technologically advanced direct mount bashguard capable chain retention system ever conceived for price conscious riders.

After over a year’s worth of testing on our own bikes and the World Cup circuit, the LS1+ has proven itself to be just as strong and reliable as the LG1+ retention system, and at a meager 245 grams, the LS1+ is lighter and stronger than almost all of our competition’s top end aluminum chainguides—at almost half the price!

The new LS1+ comes equipped with a removable Direct Mount Bashguard in either a 36T or 40T size. Use the LS1+ without the Direct Mount Bashguard for your 4X race on Saturday night and bolt the bashguard back on for your DH race on Sunday afternoon!

If the SS+ deleted the old adage “Cheap, light and strong – you can only pick two” then the LS1+ just obliterated it - like a Death-Star-explosion-inside-a-black-hole-obliteration.

LS1+ Chain Retention System

  • Uses World Cup winning LG1+ guide design

·         Adjustable wearplates allow for 32–40T chainring capacity

·         Wearplates have chainring size indicators for simple position adjustment patents pending

·         Easily change chains and chainrings w/o removing wearplates patents pending

·         Optional impact-flexure design Direct Mount Bashguard patents pending

  • Direct Mount Bashguard is available in 36T or 40T maximum chainring capacity

·         Captive hardware patents pending

·         High tensile chrome-moly steel backplate patents pending

  • Anti-corrosion nickel-chrome plated

·         New Tech 3 Stealth Idler

·         245 grams light! That’s lighter than most of our competitors’ top end aluminum chainguides!

Did we mention it’s only $59.95 usd for the naked LS1+ and $89.95 for the fully equipped system?  How’s that for recession proof?
