After battling through the qualifiers, Fionn made the final in 4th position along side Joey Gough, Anneke Beerten, and Tara Llanes. When the gate dropped, Fionn found herself pinned behind Beerten and Llanes for much of the course. Then in a gutsy move, Fionn threw her Norco FourX into an aggressive two wheel drift through the final corner to pass her competitors and take the win. “I’m not really sure what happened. I drifted the corner perfectly and had enough speed at the end of it to put me in front!” exclaimed Griffiths. The risky move paid off as Fionn held her lead all the way to the line to claim her first World Cup 4X victory! “I’m ecstatic for Fee! We knew that she had it in her. It was never a question of ‘if’, it was just a question of ‘when’,” commented Mark Schmid, Norco Team Manager. “I’m also excited for Norco. We’ve had World Cup level bikes for some time now, we just needed Fionn to put them where they belonged: At the top of the podium.” Fionn is no stranger to the podium. In her six year professional career she has had 18 World Cup podium appearances including two downhill wins. Congratulations on the fantastic season, Fionn!
